It is an honor, and I do so with great pleasure, to extend words of personal support to an icon in the Death Care Industry.  I have known Mr. Shun Newbern, CFSP for several years and have found him to be an upstanding person of strong character and high moral content. 

He aims for excellence in all that he does while striving to better himself with each opportunity that comes before him.  He is not selfish with his knowledge and skills, often providing assistance and mentoring to apprentices, students and colleagues.  Mr. Newbern is devoted to the Death Care Industry and travels throughout the United States giving of his time for the betterment of this profession.

He approaches life with energy, innovativeness, diligence, and lends compassion, confidentiality, and reverence to the loss of life.

As the President of the Alabama Funeral Directors and Morticians Association and the Delta Chapter President, Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity, Inc., I am proud to be affiliated with such a staunch member of this profession.  Although I faintly attempt to, I could not speak the words that would detail the enormous amount of respect I carry for this gentleman.
